Needless to say, for some reason, even I believed that kind of common sense.

I thought that things like going on trips around the world were well beyond my wildest dreams.

That’s because,I had no idea how much it would cost to fly around the world, and I couldn’t imagine getting enough
time off work or school to embark on such a long journey.



But what if we suppose that the aforementioned bits of common sense are lies…?



In my case, a chance encounter with a certain book changed my life. It was after I had just become a university student. At a bookstore where I had casually stopped, the sash on the cover of a single book caught my eye.

On that, “why not go round the world?” had been written in Japanese. I froze for a moment. “Why not?” What this single, seemingly casual expression taught me by implication was the fact that travelling the world was a possibility for me.

I purchased and read that book immediately. What I learned from that book were some facts that turned those above-mentioned bits of common sense upside down.

And so I set my mind on successfully going on a worldwide trip while still in university. Then, I called on a close friend of mine, “Let’s go on a trip around the world!”

and, over the course of two years, I saved money by working part-time. Afterward, by making use of an extended vacation from university, I successfully made my journey around the world.
